A large financial services company is engaged in a period of very positive change and wanted to provide an exceptional new employee orientation to ensure that new hires are excited about joining the company. The orientation could also be used to provide an updated understanding of the organization and its new direction to all employees.
The organization wanted to provide a consistent and professional message to all of its new employees that would reinforce their decision to join the company and get them excited about their new organization and career.

| Challenge |
The organization had a standardized orientation process for new employees, but it wasn't flexible enough to accommodate quickly-filled schedules, nor was it able to be delivered to new employees in the field offices around the country. Larger locations had periodic classroom sessions while new employees in smaller offices were simply provided a binder of information or were referred to a PowerPoint presentation on the company intranet. Even in large locations, new employees often waited a month or more before going through orientation classes.  |

Planet created an interactive web-based training which provided an overview of the insurance and financial services industry, the company's products and divisions, and provides quizzes to test the learner's understanding of the new material. This module will be serving as the foundation for more online content for new employees.  |
| Results |
New employees now have flexibility to learn about their new company when time is available among the many other activities scheduled for them in their first few weeks of employment. It will also serve as a review resource tool for them as well as more tenured employees.  |
